Almost every developed country in the world has universal healthcare which is fair and inclusive towards every person. Access to quality affordable health care is critical to the well-being of our country, today and in the future.
Dino believes we have to continue to strengthen our health care system, providing health insurance and assistance to low-income children and families, funding cutting-edge research into cures for diseases, and giving patients the ability to successfully challenge the decision of health insurers.
Dino will continue with his advocacy for:
- Creating more affordable and fair health care system and services for low-income families.
- Supporting doctors around the country in their further specialization and development.
- Signing cooperation agreements with foreign governments on mutual cooperation and research in the field of medicine.
- Funding for community health centers.
- Supporting healthcare workers.
- Increasing government investment in the national health care system – hospitals, health care centers, laboratories, research centers.
- Fighting corruption in the health care institutions, starting with responsible government offices to the hospitals and health care centers.
- Conducting regular evaluation and inspection of work of doctors, nurses, hospital staff, and institutions in general.
- Providing much-needed equipment for more precise diagnosing of diseases, and making sure that every life is saved on time.
- Providing access to reproductive health care.
- Expanding the health care system for the well-being of every citizen.
- Reducing the cost of prescription drugs.
- Protecting consumers from unjustified prescription drug price increases from companies that market long-standing, and face little or no competition.
- Invest in university medicine programs by giving students a chance to get experience before entering the workforce, and giving treatments to the patients.
- Providing safe and legal abortion.
