Labor unions helped build middle-class communities and a more secure economic and social environment for millions of families across the world. When you do your part, you should be awarded for the work you have done, so you can provide for yourself and your family.
First and foremost, Dino believes that we have to:
- Encourage companies to invest in workers and their well being.
- Protect workers from any kind of exploitation and work together on creating the right policies to stop employer misclassification of employees.
- Ensure a comfortable retirement.
- Offer skill-building and high-quality training for workers.
- Fight for equal pay for women across every sector of the national and global economy.
Furthermore, if we want to see a strong workforce and satisfied workers, then we must:
- Invest more in infrastructure, research, smart manufacturing, small businesses, and start-ups.
- Raise the minimum wage so that no one is faced with raising a family in poverty or going through education with difficulties.
- Invest in good-paying jobs.
- Support labor movements and workers’ rights.
- Reject trade agreements, both bilateral and multilateral, that don’t meet acquired high standards.
- Prevent countries from abusing and violating global and regional trade rules.
We can not expect to have a strong and progressive economy if we don’t invest in our people, workers who are making our countries stronger. If we want to see the next generation thriving in every aspect of their life, then we have to provide a workforce with diverse skills and job training. Our main mission should be creating a workforce of the 21st century.
Dino will work on the further development of:
- Local and national programs that provide high-quality training for every industry sector workers.
- Local and national resources for providing small businesses with workers training, in order to prepare workers for the working environment and future challenges.
- A technology of the 21st century to empower people to be more productive and safe at work.
- Programs for young people, especially students, to equip them with key skills and knowledge to successfully master the workforce.
